Funny how he never had a fiddle on the Enterprise...

Very nice, though somewhat lacking in fiddling. Now, I may be embarrassed by the answer, but who was the bozo with the tambourine?

Funny, because Ponty is famous for playing King Kong with Zappa but not in band on that clip. Didn't realize until played all the way through.

On tambourine, MOTORHEAD SHERWOOD.

and Ponty is the ONLY musician that Zappa has said he despised and would never work with again. Wonder why? I do like his music though

Don't know - was it maybe because McLaughlin poached him for Mahavishnu right after he rejoined the Mothers? Maybe left Frank high and dry on the eve of a tour or something? Would have to ask a more knowledgable Zappa fan than I, but I do know from all I've heard that Frank could carry a grudge and develop the same unreasonably (not that I have any true knowledge on that point).

Yes indeed, I was right in thinking I'd be embarrassed. Euclid was a mainstay of the classic Zappa line up.

Enigmatic Ocean!!!!! Wasn't Egocentric Molecules on that LP? I could Google it but I'm feeling lazy.

Thanks for the flashback to junior year in high school, making out on Rehoboth Beach with B..., oh never mind.

this years crop is the SHIT!! Yes on 19 passed by 55% in Alameda County, does that count?
